Hi FTBOAH I waited quite a while to get the 'lifted wing' shot and,as you say, the light really helped. I LOVE swans-such grace.

I think these photos mean that you are able to spend a little time in Ireland. You know what THAT means? Inspired photos and a chance to armchair travel. Did you grow up reading The Ugly Duckling? It has forever changed the way I look at swans. It's odd to look at a bird and feel hope but the story is one of latent potential and in that I find hope. I'm partial to your first shot because it is a swan and daffodils. A lovely como. Nice to see you, cousin.

Hi lindy............I did get a week in County Meath and some days in the UK so more shots to come!! I loved the 'Ugly Duckling'-swans are lovely.

I like the 2nd and 3rd shots. The 1st one would be better if cropped such that the branches form a frame with the swan in the middle. Jus my opinion.
