Default my new macro photography assistant

As most of you know, I am extremely new to photography and have been working really hard and practicing with my camera everyday.
I am not good but I am getting better ~
I have been so frustrated with myself over trying to get a macro floral shot that looks decent. We are talking foot stomping temper tantrum mama is on the war path kind of frustrated LOL
After blurring ANOTHER shot, I turned around and saw this LOL
Talk about a quick mood changer! I guess he decided I needed some help too! I wonder if dog slobber gleams like morning dew?!?!
So much for my carefully posed and thought out floral shots as this photo wins the day in my house LOL

This made me put down the camera and give my poor ignored baby some much needed play time!

That is absolutely priceless !!! I bet dog spit does gleam lol

Reminds me of one of my dogs who as a puppy silently followed me all around the yard one day as I was planting some new annuals. I would plant them, she would dig them up and then put them in a pile. I wish someone had been there to video my reaction when I finally turned to admire my work and instead found them in a pile with her sitting there smiling

He is just shy of 12 months old so he is a BIG puppy... he weighs about 80 pounds. He is a rescue as I volunteer with the local golden rescue group.

The thing I find so funny (and frustrating) is the amount of time I spend on 1 FREAKING BLOOM and all I get is a face full of pollen and a temper tantrum ~ I turn around and in one fast candid shot out do an hours worth of photos with just one shot

I am never going to get a decent photo of a flippin bloom LOL

Lori, you just made my day! I love this photo. I know how frustrating macros can be but, your photos are very good. This one proves it. As I've heard said before, I'd rather be lucky... Nice work.

makes me miss my dog He was stolen and I don't have the heart to replace him. He was also a rescue. We had a porch that was chest high and when I would get home every day he would be waiting to give me a hug. Nice photo!

They are frustrating when your starting out! They *look* so easy ..I mean its just a flower ...its not like its a kid on a bike or something LOL ... but boy are they are hard to get a decent shot! AACKKKK I have a pretty garden with lots of tropical blooms but alas they must stay outside a bit longer until I master this! Oh and the name is Brook, not Lori. LOL

That is just horrid =(
I am a HUGE fan of microchipping! Its really cheap now and the best way to ensure you get a stolen/lost pet back. ALL shelters and vets use the wand now and the first thing they do when seeing a new dog is run the microship wand over it!
