Default The Simple Life

I took these photos today of some amish people. At times i envy their quiet simple lifestyle. They are pleasant hard working people who live without the material things that we cant seem to live without. Instead of tv their yards are immaculate..the kids play instead of sitting glued to a computer screen. Their vegetables are fresh without the pesticides that slowly posion us. We might think they are different but maybe we can take a few lessons from them.

I always enjoy your photos of the Amish. I agree, there is probably loads that we can learn from their simple lifestyle.

I try not to intrude on their beliefs so i had on my 200 lens and took them from a distance yelling at my hubby to slow down without giving me whiplash..but im happy with them and still fascinated by their lifestyle..i appreciate your comments

These are really great photos... Different doesn't mean bad for sure. I sometimes wish for a simpler life. I think you are right. We could learn some valuable lessons from them. Thanks for sharing these.

Every time I see your captures of the Amish people, I just want to come out there and see for myself. I love the way that you show them being so natural and their simple lifestyle. Rivetting stuff Lori. Thanks for sharing them with us.

One of the best photo stories on the Amish was done by National Geographic photographer William Allard.
