now what!

found this little black cat atop the trash bin just outside our apartment. he looked surprised to see me but i was able to get a quick shot seconds before making a big leap out of the bin to nowhere!

(i know twas too dark after a little pp, but i want to emphasize on the eyes)

Hello lya, yes it is a little dark, but by the look of it, so is the world where the cat lives. You managed to capture sufficient detail around the eyes and the cat looks quite sad scavenging for scraps. Its a good picture because you've caught a slice of life right on your doorstep where only the strongest do survive.

it is prohibited to feed these stray cats roaming around our accomodation area. so they can get so wild over a piece of bread they can find from the big trash bin. they are not tamed and they are left to fend on themselves. sad i know....

I have a cat myself. So i feel for the little fellow. You got the little glint in his eye which is what you tried to achieve. So well done and as Beach says. A true to life shot. Thanks for sharing him with us.

they could be so jealous with the pampered cats in the other parts of the world! such is life! thanks for looking Jake!

Sometimes photos help make that which is invisible, visible. Just a moment and he was gone, leaving a tug at your heart. I feel it, too, and I'm always drawn to photos with feeling, like yours.

i think cats and dogs are not really a popular pet in this country. some foreigners working here are actually adopting some of these stray cats and takes care of them but they are back to the streets to fend on themselves again once the owners go back to their country. thanks for looking pjflan7!
