Default An Early Morning Walk along the Knife Edge!!

Hello DPS Friends,

Just been looking through all my old shots and found these of a walk I did with some work mates last year. I have not really took much notice of them before, but one thing I have learn't here at DPS is never bin shots because with a crop and maybe a border a shot can be transformed into something totally different, especially with landscapes. the second one is of Crib Goch, you walk along a knife edge with a 500 metre drop either side of you. Hence I never got the camera out on this section of the walk to many people been killed just taking photographs on the ridge. Hope you like.

An early morning walk

The Knife Edge, If you look closely you can see walkers on the ridge.

Thanks for looking.

Well, just keep posting photos like these and I'll be forced to come to England to satisfy my old longing to take a walking tour. One thing that surprises me is that I always thought the countryside was mainly rolling hills and that the term mountain was a euphemism for hill. These are pretty significant mountains. And the views are magnificent. Your shot with the hikers in silhouette is just terrific--classic. Thanks for the reminder about old photos. You are absolutely right. Your photos are proof positive.

Great shots Tryfan! You make a very important point Tryfan; One of the reasons I love Digital Phtography is that you can do so much with the captures, even the ones that seem ordinary, can become Great shots through post processing;
As I've learned more on this Site about Composition, Lighting, Using Photoshop and other software, I've been looking at my older work and seeing things that need to be done to make them better. Just like a Plastic Surgen, little Crop here, Clone there, Sharpen; Saturate; and you can turn the ordinary into Magic!!!
Thanks Tryfan!

Someones trash is someone elses treasure, but this time you returned and found the treasure yourself. Three stunning pictures, and clearly you are not only a talented photographer but you as footsure as a mountain goat as well Dave. Excellent work, well done

Positively gorgeous landscapes, I'm so glad you kept them and decided to share them with us.
