Default Coolest Moth ever!

Thsi morning I was talking to a friend at work and she asked "what is that over your shoulder?" On the brick wall next to me was the moth you see here. It is commonly called a "Camo Moth", or scientifically a Pandora Sphinx Moth. I thought it was a plastic toy at first because the "camo" was so amazing. I just had to share it here for any of you who might like such things!

We get those sometimes but I think they are called hummingbird moths as they hover like a hummingbird... though it might be a different moth all together

Great shot. If you get the chance to, you should see one at night as they have glowing red eyes. It will seriously scare the crap out of you if you don't know its there and it all of a sudden buzzes you in the dark .... or so at least I have HEARD

Thanks for the kind comments.... I am a science teacher & he (she? I'm not good at sexing moths!) was the hit of the day as students & fellow teachers just had to come see him/her once they heard about it.
