Default First shot with my new D300

well this is the first shot i am posting taken with my brand new D300 i recieved this morning. my friend visited me last week from the D.C. area. he loves photography also and came down to spend the week together taking pictures in the charleston area. while i was using my good ole D40 he was shooting with the d300. well he left last friday and this afternoon the ups guy pulls up with a package for me from my old freind chris. i saw the B&H shipping on it and was excited to see it was something for photography. when i opened it my jaw dropped...a Nikon D300! there was a note with it saying how much he finds inspiration with my work and wanted me to have some top of the line tools. wow! anyway this shot is of vinny and is special because of this story and this is the first from the camera.

Congrats Jeff!!! My uncle has one of these full frame cameras that can use any Nikon lens out there. He has been taking pictures for as long as I have been alive. You have got yourself one heck of a camera there. Enjoy it and I look forward to seeing what you come up with.....Charleston is a wildly beautiful place to take pictures......I remember Magnolia Plantation, the street markets, Fort Sumpter, all of the old architecture......You will be keeping us entertained for a while........

Congrats on the new toy and welcome to the D300 club. How do you like the 51 focusing points?
