Yup, they all have their "no pics" days and sometimes that period drags on for a while!

Thanks Jake. Yes, I am fortunate enough to have a willing wanna-be model in my immediate space!

I feel sorry for the families of photographers. Oh, what they must suffer. A willing subject then is quite a feat. A bribe? What was your PPing? This treatment of sepia with the original eye color is just fabulous! I'll be this little girl has a lot of spunk. You certainly caught her inner spark with your portrait!

Thanks PrimeTime. I've miseed you folks here on the forum and I'm glad to be getting kick-started again. I have spent a fair amount of time out of town [down at my folks where broadband is non-existent!] and travelling too. And yes, I've been fortunate enough to bag a few wildlife pics. I'll get around to sharing a few in a coupple of days. Thank you for your interest in my pix.

Thank you LindyAnna......and on the days when families want their portraits, the tables are turned on the photogs! I kid you not, Smudge is willing 8/10 requests!

The treatment is relatively simple [using PSE6]: colour copy [after any retouching required] + black and white copy [normal, 100% opacity] + black and white copy [soft light 20% opacity] + sepia copy [normal 50%] + sepia copy [soft light 20%] then mask all these copies, reveal all and then paint over the eyes with a black brush 50% opacity to reveal the colour copy then paint over the cheeks with a black brush 10% opacity to reveal some skin tone.

If this description is too criptic and you think it worth a step by step example, just shout.
