i don't know exactly why this shot turned out so red but i was happy to see that their eye colors stayed pretty true. i like the effect but my wife doesn't.

You can tone the reds down pretty easily in PP if you wanted to.

Your wife and daughter are beautiful! Removing the red shouldn't be too hard to do. I absolutely love the catchlights you captured in your daughter's eyes!
