Default The Fortune Telling Lion Car Goes Surfing

I woke this AM with an attack of the "Sillies". Many of you are new to DPS so you may not remember the traveling Fortune Telling Lion car. I found this amazing car sitting on a back street in Bisbee, Arizona. There are many art car in Bisbee but this is one of the most ornate. There's not a spot on it that doesn't have some kind of geegaw, doodad or paint. The second photo, taken last summer in Monument Valley, gives you another angle on this amazing and amusing car.

Too funny Lindy. Great job with the photos and putting the car into the action. I needed a laugh this morning.

Lindy, I think Nikki Sue Nikon and the Fortune Telling Lion Car need to hook up! They would have great adventures together. I'm new enough that I've never seen the Fortune Telling Lion Car in action, so I appreciate your reaching down into the archives and dusting him off.

Wow, Lindy, I nearly choked on my coffee. That is one amazing photograph. I don't know which is the more colourful, your sky or that car. What an amazing find. I personally don't remember it first time around, but I am glad you showed it again. I love your composition in the second one. That scenery is so gorgeous. Looks like the lion is about to seek his own fortune down the end of that road. Thanks for the giggle Lindy. I love it.

Jake.

Wouldn't be a hoot to do a road trip that car? Nikki Sue would definitely make use of the opportunity! There's a couple other that are a must see. I'll post them sometime. One is straight out of Toy Story--those creepy toys in the house next door.

I'm glad you didn't get hurt, Jake. No photo is ever going to do the car justice. The second photo calls forth memories so sweet I get teary just thinking about the beauty of Monument Valley. I'm glad you could see that through the silliness.

Yea...I reversed the angle. I had to change the words on the trunk but forgot to reverse the license. Or...said another way...I meant to do that

The series shots are fun, aren't they. BTW The Fortune Telling Lion is available to travel anywhere in the world. Arrangement can be made to have him show up in other places!
