Default Coffee beans

Coffee beans

Camera: Canon EOS 50D
Aperture: f/4,0
ShutterSpeed: 0,6 sec
ISO: 100
Lens: EF100mm f/2.8 Macro USM

Last night I took some photo's of coffee beans. After the beans were laying in the spotlight for a while the aroma whas great, but it was too late already to drink some coffee :-)

Hmm! I can remember the fresh coffee fruits from my land. It is particular when it is freshly harvested from the coffee tree. Nice shot!

Great DoF on this one mate. The colour is excellent too. I, like everyone else am now going to make a cup of coffee. Nice capture Edwin.

How did you get such shallow DOF using aperature of f/4?

Thanks. I used a 100 mm prime lens. When you use such a lens and the subject is very clode the DOF is very small ( < 1 cm). I even took some shots at f/22 and still the front and back where unsharp.
