Hello friends.
This bug came in on my sons trousers. He was going to stand on it, but I stopped him, placed it on a piece of paper and took his portrait. When he saw the result, he asked me to post it here. So this is the result. We don't know what it is. Can anyone help? If not just make something up. lol... ![]() ![]() Jake.

I see these a fair bit round our way but the detail you have captured makes me see them in a completely different light... and the comment about fines makes me admit I never squish bugs intenionally it is a i fit of EEEK from my daughter if I do lol

great jake you followed your instinct, now you have the great portrait of a rare specie! the first one looks like he was ready to attack the photographer's trouser! he looks tamed though. thanks for this great share!

Great looking bug, Jake. Are you sure you didn't hire a pro bug model? Fantastic shot.

I have no clue what it is beyond a very interesting bug. Great lesson in making something photographically interesting out of the mundane. By the way, no bugs were harmed in the making of this photograph!
