Default A few from a day off

Here's a few shots from my day off,

The first .. a Cardinal, something tells me , this little fellow and me are gonna get to know eachother quite well , I now know where he lives !!!

Cardinal1

For #2 , I submit my first baby shots, I'm not exactly sure, but I belive the geese eat so much grass, they've dyed thier gooslings green .. none the less, they were quite adorable and very busy on the riverbank...

Gosslings

for the third shot, I have " Looney Toons " ...Loons remind me of dinosaurs, they are so primative ... but beautiful, I felt lucky to catch a few in a tree sunning themselves

Loon2

and to finish,, the reason I went to this goldmine of animals and birds ... my current favorite obsession , Ospreys ... they have young in the nests ( though I have yet to even see one ) .. I tracked one for a while out over the river and was able to get a few flying shots .... though not of great quality, it was very far out and using manual focus, I feel lucky to get what I got lol

OspreyFlight
searching the river for movement, I was hoping for a dive and a fish, but we both had no luck.

Just another afternoon at a park, nice weather and wonderful subjects to photograph.. hope you like em,

Vin

Nice series Vin. I seen the first gooslings of the season the other day but they ran away before I could get any shots. Nice osprey I have to go check the nesting areas. We have an eagle nest not far from here I might have to go check it out.

Vin, you are getting better and better with the birds. I can't wait for your acquaintance with the cardinal. He is one colourful fellow. That is certainly an Awwwww moment with the goslings and such amazing detail in the looney toons one. So all these excellent captures were a bonus as you said you went to capture the Osprey and what a great capture it is too. He looks great in flight and the composition is good too. This is super work Vin. Can't wait for the Cardinal ones.

Jake.

Vin, another wonderfu series from you!

In the first, I love the pop of the red in a field of green. The simplicity of just two vibrant colors is wonderful!

In the second - well, how much cuter can they be? Great detail - I love the mix of textures - the soft fuzziness of the chicks against the mix of textures of the ground.

In the third, if it were any sharper I'd need a bandaid! Excellent focus.

And last but not least - the fourth - there's something about the simplicity of this. It seems to show the pure freedom in flying in the open sky.

You're getting better, better, and better by the minute!
