Default Sun and Cloud Shots!

Last weekend I just happened to glance up at the sky and noticed these great shots. Fortunately I had my camera with me and so was able to capture these. It was a bright sunny day with hardly any clouds, so I think that's what made these images even that much more impressive. Thoughts?

I like the second shot.. but would have liked it even better if the rainbow colors were a little more bigger and better..

The first shot.. hmm.. i think you should have got the full circle around the sun.. that would have made it interesting..

wow, that second shot is awesome!

i heard (dunno if it's true) if you photograph the sun, you can ruin your camera.
I have shot the sun through clouds befor but not directly.
