Default Train-go-round

I was standing at the back of the caboose on the Alaska Railroad train and with a Pentax 10-17mm fisheye lens was able to get the engine, train, and a spectacular mountain scene in this shot.

Sweet shot, it reminds me of a movie or two that I've seen.

Hi there,
just wanted to say that I really like this image and you have captured the train and it's journey beautifully. Makes me wish I was there too.
Thanks for sharing it.

The composition of this shot is spot on Up North. The eye just follows the curve all the way round the bend to that lovely view of the mountain. I agree with Fred, it does look like one of those movie shots. This is great work my friend.

Jake.

Very nice. I like the composition and the reflection on the passenger car. Looks like a train trip worth taking!

Ye gads. Unbidden comes Johnny Horton singing "North to Alaska" in my head. I'll bet it's going to take three surfer songs to "wipe out" this song I didn't much like the first time around! You probably even have it on one of your jukeboxes. But I digress. Great photo! It gives me the shivers which is good because temps are above 100 in Tucson. What a world!
