I like these. Glad to see that I am not the only one that takes pictures of tree roots. I tend to shoot mine in B&W though...I don't know, there is just something about all the curves and turns and textures that is appealing to my senses. Did you edit these ones at all? The only thing is that the light is a bit bright in a couple of them, almost to a point where its distracting...but I still love these! Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to see more! Ri

Cool roots. They look like the roots I've tripped over when hiking around at different places.

Thanks for your responses. Here are some answers for you. I'm not sure what type of trees they were. I should look it up. I did a little editing because I really liked the "creepy" look. It was early in the morning and what caught my eye was how strong the lighting was on the rocks. I did a little editing to bring it out even further. The lighting was not as strong on the original photo, but I thought it looked good this way. It reminds me of Steven Spelberg movies where he has really strong lighting and high contrast past the point of looking real. The second picture is very close to the original.

I just love how the trees spread their roots. These are excellent captures and really show the spread well. Nice work.

Jake.

Very interesting shots. I like the close up best. But the others are still good also.
