Thats a pretty long wharf..i have only been to california once when we drove from here to san diego. Love the beaches and the atmosphere but while i was on santa monica pier i fell and slid on my knees...talk about embarrasing...but i didnt get hurt so that was the main thing. I really enjoy photos of the ocean and enjoyed yours didnt get to santa barbara but maybe next time...thankyou for sharing.

love that perspective of the 1st with the height...looks as though taken from a hot air ballon or a parasail. The bus is also a cool find.

Thanks for the comment Lori and you're very welcome. I am please you enjoy them. I'm glad you weren't injured. The surface of a pier is usually very rough and splintery. Santa Barbara is a nice place to visit.

Thanks very much Tycooder. We're going to celebrate sometime real soon. Maybe while she's off visiting her sisters! LOL. Thanks for looking, glad you liked them.

Actually I was on the 9th floor balcony in the hotel we stayed at. Had a great view of the wharf. The bus changes color schemes every month or two. Did you notice the VW bus on top of the bus?

First of all Fred congratulations to your daughter and what a lovely place to do it in. I think Beach will be impressed with the boat and wow, that bus is something else. This is truly a great set of photographs, varied themes and all top class.

Jake.

Thanks very much Jake. The commencement was at a really nice stadium that overlooked the ocean. There's some more coming later this week. The bus was... colorful for sure and I liked the bus on top of a bus configuration. Thanks buddy...

Thank you Fred, I so glad you told me about this picture, it was almost another selection of your work that slipped uner the radar. Too many pictures and not enough time on line.. Anyway, thanks for the dedication, you are extremely thoughtful. I liked your series and congratulations of course to your daughter, I know you must be very proud of her

cheers beachcomber
