Default South Alligator Grasslands

DSC_2089

This was taken on my way to the office yesterday. The grass around South Alligator River are so tall that even when standing on the roof of the Toyota its hard to get perspective. Next week they will be on fire.

I still haven't figured out how to get the info from flickr yet. Anyone help? Not that its important. Just thought you'd enjoy the piccie. (And see where my office is).

Beautiful shot, with strong color and lines. Just curious - what do you mean that next week it will be on fire? Is a controlled burn scheduled?

On flickr, go to your account, then "privacy and permissions." There should be a option there for "hide EXIF data" or something similar. If you chose the option that lets your EXIF info show up for your photos, the EXIF will be located at the "more properties" option in the lower right hand corner of a photos' pages. (hope that makes sense)

Chip,
Thanks for the info. I notice that some of my shots on flickr have the 'more info' stuff but others don't. What am I forgetting to do?
The grass is burnt by the indigenous as a means of controlling the fuel and farming the land. About 85% of the Top End is burnt during the Dry which runs from now to Sept.
Great sunsets but hard on the washing.

Thanks for the explanantion. It's a long time between now and September . . . . I can see why it's hard on the wash.

For the EXIF info, I don't know. Maybe if you post your question in the General Chit Chat section, someone there will be able to help?
