Default I shot Myself !!

Well not quite but it is my first self portrait and after having thrown it up for critique thought I might just share it here as well . Taken for the ghetto lighting topic for the 365 on Flickr I used a candle 45 degrees camera right remote shutter release and tripod , my ugly head and my fave hat . Thanks for looking . All the best

Cool shot. I've just got my flash back from Nikon repair and need to get into using it again.

I can imagine that was somewhat tedious....tinkering with the settings, moving back into the pose, look up, change settings, re-pose etc etc.....but you finally got it and the lighting is great.....it is so evenly spread across the frame.

Thanks guys , funny how well one of those smelly little candles in a glass holder will light for you , and for $2 better than some very expensive flash ,ha ha ha , and I did try a few pozzies and a couple of different settings and after about 40 blurry or badly framed shots out popped this . Thanks for looking guys .

I like the way the little bit of zipper and the hat band coordinate to keep your eye moving around the photo. And you want to...not just because it's a handsome face...but the pose is a kind of repose that makes it emotionally appealing as well visually interesting. Nice.

I love it! So nice to put a face to a name. And such a nice face it is! I have been thinking of what to do for this weeks assignment. I think you did a great job here!

I think this is a very thoughtful, and well thought out self portrait. The compostion is just right and I like the colours and tones although would liked to have seen it in B+W to compare the two. Great picture bradzo

Thanks for sharing yourself Bradzo. You did a great job with the self portrait. This is twice sorry three times that we have seen you this week. You must be losing all your shyness. lol... Not. Grear work buddy, after all the joking that you do, I would like to see one with a smile showing off all the Ausie wit. But till then I will make do with this great thoughtful one. Nice work Buddy.

Jake.
