Three friends stood wondering why I was taking this photograph of our shadows. It seemed to make an interesting picture.

This is a very unusual photograph Glayva but it is very interesting. Nice textures and different tones. I think that it would make a great wall picture. Very well spotted and captured. Isn't it amazing what a photographers eye sees.

I'm always heaping tons of praise on you, starting to sound patronizing... let me just say, as Jake and Beach also noticed right away ...Your eye is so fine tuned to " see " and form the photo that I just have to look for long views to take them in, I learn so much from you
.Simple, Common theme, captured with angled lines and textures and different levels of light .. well done, thanks again for showing another lesson from a pro, Vin

now this is a group shot even i would smile in .. it took a second for me to like it, then I really liked it .. Like Beach said it's something you'd see in a production piece .. i'm not the right rookie to comment on composition or other aspects, but something tells me I could say it's excellent and be safe with that ..

My Friends
Thanks for all your comments, as always. The photo was taken here in the Algarve, Portugal not far from where I live. What you are seeing in the background is a salt pan. This is a very shallow pool of natural sea water that is evaporating to form this exceptionally highly prized "Flor de Sal" or salt crystals. The crystals are then raked off the surface by hand, dried and then packed and exported around the world. It's a very small but important industry here in the Algarve. My wife and I use these crystal all the while for cooking and table salt.

We use sea salt for seasoning but didn't know exactly how it was created. Really interesting. Thanks for sharing. I like the photo as well and like the others say.....it is compostionally interesting and it really kind of grows on you as you see different elements within the frame.
