Default Logs, a waterfall, and jet trails.....say what?!

This assortment of photos is exactly what is says it is...an assortment of photos. They are not at all related to each other. It's just wood, water and sky...simple as that. The first is a shot that I took walking along side a creek near the Kentucky River on a property owned by a kids camp.

log and stream

This a shot that was sort of a composition and texture exercise that I put myself through.....thought it turned out fairly interesting.

This is a very long cascading waterfall coming down a steep embankment before dumping into the Kentucky River. What you see here is only about a quarter of the total length and that would be a conservative estimate.

This is a shot of jet trails overhead.....looks like it's headed to the moon!

Cool shots Patrick. I like the firewood. Nice and simple but it belies the work that went into making it.

I really like the one with the logs. I like the repetition of all of them and then two that aren't circular. Very nice.

I saw that too yet I was more in tune with the circles and the actual cut marks on the faces...but yes, the break from circles is also a strong component here....thanks for noticing

Nice assortment, Patrick. Isn't it amazing when we stop and take the time to really LOOK at things. I think the wood pile is also my favorite.
