It has been so wet here in the Wichita area. That we have had some visitors in some
unusual areas. There are Egrets everywhere there is a puddle. And there are a lot of puddles. The images I am sharing this day are from a group actually near a lake. They are so skittish that they are hard to walk up close enough for a good image. However, I found that you can drive up closer to them, they don't seem to mind that as much as approaching on foot. Gee, I hope no one minded the tire tracks... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() OK, I know the last one is obviously not an Egret, but he stayed put. He let me walk up real close, so I thought I would immortalize him. So there you have it. This week is Wichita River Festival week. The weather should be nice. I was laid-off last week, that's the bad news, the good news is, I'll have more time to prefect my photography. A silver lining!

I think Vinam will be soon flying in to Wichita.....After reading about his trials and travails over the elusive egrets, you have it far too easy!
