Looks like she needs to over there. maybe she will just have to dream. Nice shot with great composition. It would not have been the same photograph had the subject have been placed in the middle of the shot. A good learning shot for a newbie learning composition. Thanks for sharing this interesting capture.

yea thats about the only downfall in this image if i use that "greener grass" quote.
and the "ear tag" is a NLIS tag National Livestock Identification Scheme. when the cow is sold at auction they must have one, and when the cow is sold, that is scanned so that the buyer knows some information about the cow.

I really like animal shots that depict a human quality, which, in this case, is longing. I wonder. Does this make the cow more human or me more cow like? I digress. The angle and composition is just perfect. Super photo.

I love the composition also. I would like to have seen the the cow lightened up bit though. I think you could have gotten more detail out of him/her.
