Sunny day today, was dying to get out and see what I might photograph... Settled on another Great Egret hunt and here's what I got
![]() little bit of white blowout, but I like the shape of the neck and it having one foot up , I've really wanted to get a shot of one fishing and today I got a few, the problem was the fish it was catching were so small, I couldn't see them lol, but he was eating them like popcorn ![]() I wish I could shoot him from the other side, but I'm stuck on the side facing the sun in the afternoon ... so improvise, adapt and try and overcome lol I also want to add a flying shot of one to my collection, I am still working on it, here's the latest attempt , I love it, I hate it .. it's good, I can do better .. ya'll know how it is ![]() and so I don't burn out all the white parts of my camera ... here's one inspired by Jake ![]() quite a beautiful creature .... /cheers Jake ! thanks for taking a look , was a good day for photos, I hope you like them, Vin

That third one is a right cracker , there is something magical about a bird in flight , great work , the first 2 remind me of one of my favorite bands album covers Angeldust by Faith No More , and how exotic is the last one ha ha , nice work all round . All the best

Very nice series. Whites and blacks are hare in the bright sun.

Wow Vin, In my opinion these are your best yet of the Egret. Even into the sun you have nailed them. The whites in those feathers are so crisp and focusing so sharp. Love the flying one, you got the wings right at the bottom of the stroke. Now correct me if I am wrong. Did he lay an egg or is that a tortoise at the bottom of that shot? Wow what a bonus. Thanks for the Crow shot too Vin. You nailed that one as well. Great pose and it is feather counting time again. Nice that we all inspire one another You did a great job with this set Vin. I think that you have got the better of him now.
Jake.

All these shot are very well done. It is often difficult to retain the feather detail in birds such as egrets but you have done this very well indeed
