American Idol

I'm not sure how many people in these forums pay attention to American Idol (I know I usually don't) but one of the top 5 finalists happened to come from my home town of Kalamazoo, Michigan. His name is Matt Giraud. And not only is he from my home town but he used to be employed by the same company (as an entertainer) that I work for now so I actually know him personally. Well a couple weeks ago he made it to the top 5 but then got voted off. And after a week long, nation wide interview tour (J Leno, Ellen, etc) he finally came home to Kalamazoo yesterday and the city of Kalamazoo decided to go all out for him. And some how I managed to get myself (and my camera) and all access pass to the whole event... Check it out. I put this in the share your shoots section because I just wanted to show people but if you have any thing to critique, feel free. Thanks...

Wow, pretty cool. This is the first season I have ever watched idol. though I thought Matt was great and from my home state I love Allison, Adam and Danny most...Adam the best. I loved that Michigan was on there and covered though! Great pic of Matt! and thanks for sharing! Ri

That is a great set! You are so lucky to have an opportunity to shoot something like that! I happen to love american idol, and I was really disappointed he was voted off! Cool shots!

Thanks... it was really fun to shoot. It was the first time I'd ever shot anything like it and to be honest, I felt a little like a paparazzi.
