Default Husband and Wife

A close friend of mine recently got married and in order to give them a gift I hoped was extra special to them I gave them a photoframe with a picture of thier rings already in it. I took the photos, whilst looking after the rings, without their prior knowledge so that the present was a lovely suprise.

I love these shots. I recently got married and wished that our photographer would have gotten some shots like this. The shots are just incredible.

(reply to insane_1975)
I'm only a hobbyist myself and for now I am using a Fujifilm finepix s5800 and these were taken in supermacro mode. For the set up I used a home made softbox, comprising of a cardboard box and an old pillow case, next to a bright window and took nearly 40 photos of varying compositions and angles. The most important lesson I have learnt from the articles and forums on DPS is to play, experiment and have fun

Thanks to everyone for your comments, I had a great photographer for my wedding last year but knew my friend was not having one at all so wanted them to have something special.

Neat shots! You've inspired me to try something like this with our rings. We have our 10 year anniversary coming up soon.
