Default Robin Red

Rain rain go away !! It has been nothing but rainy days for the last week, a few breaks inbetween to remind me of what I'm missing while I'm at work.

Last night when I got home had to cut my lawn, aleast it was dry enough. Afterwards I had just a few minutes of sunlight... the birds around my house always come around after the grass is cut to look for insects...

just messing around with a pretty basic shot and boredom ( due to a serious lack of photos to play with cause of the rain ) .. so I played around with a Robin

Robin
Softened and played around with the borders and stuff .. but what is interesting is it's missing some of it's famous Robin Red Breast Feathers ( to line a nest with eggs perhaps ) !! I kinda like how it came out, thought I post it, cause raindrops keep falling on my head !

Robins are the true sign of spring to American Indians and you captured this one beautifully

Nice PP work. Rain drops were pouring on my head this afternoon. It rained so hard the bridge I was driving over looked like a river.

Nice job on the photo Vin, You guys can send some of your rain our way. It's been really dry. And now we're off to an early start on wildfire season. Moisture would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone , there must be 4 pair of them who live in or near my yard ..after cutting the lawn I just sat on my little stool with my camera and waited , easy pickens lol !!

I acutally cut it a little high Haywood, cause it was still damp ... I think my long reach is why it looks I was low .. plus the ground curves down there, helped make it look like I was low lol .

Oh good. I had seen this photo earlier this week and had intended to let you know how much I liked it! I grew up with songs and poems about the Robin being the first sign of spring without ever seeing a Robin. In the desert, the first sign of spring is the lizard followed by the White-
Winged Dove. He's so pretty! Thank you for a glimpse into your emerging summer.
