Default Fall Fly Fishing Trip

I took these pictures with my wife's P&S Olympus while on a fishing trip last September. Nice thing about this camera is it's waterproof. Something my DSLR is not. With my butterfingers... well, you know what I mean. Hope you enjoy them. More will follow at a later time.

Mount Shasta is in the background. We were fishing the Fall River in Northern California. Notice the rise form near the shoreline.

Another rise form. That's what I like to see... signs of feeding trout.

This is what we were after...

Focus was off a little but he was moving pretty fast

PP was only a crop and horizon straightened on these. Thanks for looking and as always, I love your comments. So fire away!

Oh no, that's a cruel fate, no trout fishing... It's a Rainbow Trout. Thanks for looking.

It's a rainbow trout Tycooder. A rise form is the swirl or ring a fish leaves on the surface of the water as it feeds on insects floating or trying to emerge during a hatch. A lot of fun to see. Glad you liked the pictures.

beautiful trout..I have never caught one. Never fly fished....would love to learn. How can you be shooting photos when you see trout active nearby? You must be one torn soul torn between two passions!! Keep sending up your photos be they old or new...they are all great!

Fred, it sure is a lifelong affliction and photography is closing in fast. I've taking the liberty of a bit of bragging. A 101cm barramundi caught and released, the locals call them swamp donkeys. Cheers.
