Default Railway Dam

I took this photo recently while taking the grandkids for a walk to tire them
out. I must go back and see what else I can capture. The dam was once used as a place to hold water for steam trains. It's much better viewed large on flickr

Hi! what a gorgeous sky! That has to be one of the prettiest day time skies I have ever seen and that reflection is a wonderful bonus with ducks skirting across the middle. Just an amazing photograph....not so sure that shot can be beaten!

Thankyou Patrick, it was a bit of a surprise really I wasn't concentrating on anything in particular, hadn't even notice how great the clouds looked, I just took the picture with half a second I had spare and thought, that was a nice shot. So I sent the grandkids off to granddad and took a few more but the first was the best.

Thankyou Fred, it was just one of those occasions where I was lucky, and I love how you spell my name correctly.

Thankyou Audrey, I noticed you are from Malta. My Mother-in-law came from Malta, I would love to see photos of Malta, I've seen old photos and old home movies I think the place is so pretty. One day I hope to visit.

So pretty! I love the little ripples in the water from the ducks swimming.

Hi Michele .. this is a stunning image .. I am a sucker for reflections - especially water reflection .. you got there just in time with the multiple cloud formations making for a super photo .. it's just beautiful

Hello Michele, this is a lovely location and a great picture and i think you're right a think about a return visit, perhaps when there are fewer clouds.
I remember your last but one post the waterfall, good picture and I appreciate the undergrowth was a bit high, but what a location. If you've got the photography itch Michele, what a place to scratch it. Get the tents out and sleeping bags. Tara for now Lara Croft
