Fizzy Fruit (first forum foray)

Hello! I bought a Nikon D40x a few weeks ago and ever since have been rabidly consuming whatever information about photography I could find. I'm having TONS of fun taking pictures, and this site has given me many great tips. I was inspired by this tutorial and took the following shots. All of these use a glass of sprite sitting on a cutting board with a "breakfast in bed" tray thing as the background, two halogen lamps provide the light. I cleaned the pictures up a bit in photoshop (mainly fixing color balance) because I haven't really learned how to set the white balance properly. Enjoy!

They are really good shots. The last one is my favorite too. I like the vibrant green and the touch of red and the placement of the cup . The fizz and bubbles in the first one look great. Good job!

Nice fizz. If you try setting up a white poster board behind you object it will make the object, especiall the fizz, stand out more. Thanks for sharing.
