I went to the show in Belle Chasse (outside New Orleans) this weekend and was able to get some pretty good shots. I wish I would have read up a little more in terms of the prop planes and shooting at a lower shutter speed, but you live and learn.
By far my favotire shot of the weekend. ![]() ![]() Need to take the B&W off this one so you can see the prop swirls going behind it. ![]() ![]() The rest can be seen here - http://murtagh.smugmug.com/gallery/8...27680788_ysNTg |

Wow, these are so good Pmurtagh. Excellent captures of the condesation from the wings. and the prop one too. I am currently working on the new American F35 Lightning II so I fully appreciate these super photographs. It is not always easy to get this good a shot with the speeds these aircraft move at so well done mate Great work.
Jake.

Thanks guys. It was a long fun day. I'm glad a lot of them came out the way they did. Will be going to the air show in Pensacola in July to get some better shots.
I tried to take a picture of the blue angels when they went supersonic, but by the time i whipped around, it was already gone. That's so awesome. I can't wait to see that one in the air. Its the replacement for the F-16 right? All I know of it is it looks a little like the F-22, but has the singe engine? |
