Default Jake insisted that I post the 1st shot, so here it is

I was talking to Jake earlier today about golf and his post etc and I decided to send him a picture that I made on New Year's Eve around sunset when no golfers were around. Although this picture is technically garbage, the concept is fun. As noted before I went at dusk/sunset to catch the practice green and set up but the lighting was all wrong and the lower left corner of teh picture caught the flare and all the dead brown grass caught the orange tint from the sunset...the bottle is empty....my reflection is clearly seen on the bottle...all sorts of problems. I will be re-shooting someday as the grass is much greener and will do so on an overcast day etc and hopefully come up with a much better result. Half of you who are actual golfers may well hit the practice green before I do and shoot something similar...if you do, I'd love to see what you come up with. This was taken with a point and shoot about a month before I got my dslr. Once again taking a break from the flower genre.

Hi Patrick, I love the creativeness of the first shot. Very cool. I look forward to seeing your "improved" shot at a later date.
Your girls Mandy and Lisa are just gorgeous! They are both darling girls. Kind of like mine, in that they look completely different from each other. Close to the same age as mine as well. Mine are 10 and 5. Gonna need to lock them up soon! I am so glad you took a (short) break from the flowers to share your family with us.

Patrick, thank you so much for posting this shot of the 19th hole. As a golfer I just love the title and the creativitiy of it and it reminded me of the time when I was actively playing golf and the great times I had in our 19th hole. Thanks also for showing us your beautiful family. You have been blessed with two adorable daughters in Mandy and Lisa and be sure to say Hi to them from me. Thanks again for sharing this Patrick, I appreciate you doing so.

Jake.

Your daughters are such pretty girls.

I kind of like the lightening on the golf shot, it says end of day...

Personally, maybe because i'm a newbie, i don't think the first photo is any garbage at all. I like the concept and is kind of funny putting a bottle of whine with ice in a golf hole. ^_^

Patrick - Really cool idea with your golf shot. I like it, but don't think I'll be trying one anytime soon myself, since I'd likely have to use a ball with a cut on it and would need to include a scorecard with at least one "8."

Gorgeous girls. They look quite happy. I'm sure you're proud.

Cool idea Patrick. (pun intended LOL) With the iced down bud in the hole. Love it. You have a couple of cute girls there. Nice work on all of them. TNX for sharing.
