Arrow The Saturated Colour Moon

I took this image of the 9-day old waxing gibbous Moon on Sunday night, 3rd May 2009.

The image has been colour-enhanced to emphasise the composition differences of geological formations. From APOD:

Quote:
..blue hues reveal titanium rich areas while orange and purple colors show regions relatively poor in titanium and iron.
The image consists of 21 images stacked in Registax and processed in Photoshop. Captured with my Canon 20D, WO 0.8x, ED80. 1/100s @ ISO100.

Thanks for looking.

That is really interesting! And worth the work that went into it.

Mike, that is a great image. The best looking moon shot i have ever seen.

I just took a pic last night and it looks like a black and white conversion. Your color version really sets it off.

Looking forward to the full moon on Saturday night.
