Just got back from a lovely weekend in Llandudno, North Wales. This weekend every year they have a Victorian Extravagansa. They have a victorian fair ground in the streets and the locals dress up in victorian era costume. I took these 2 shots when they paraded the traction engines through the streets, I gave the one sepia treatment to get the feel of the era they came from, I think it works. They do look better in big sze so feel free to look at my fickr account.

I love these old traction engines Try. They always remind me of Fred Dibnah and when he took one to the Palace to collect his MBE from the queen.
Great treatment in the first one and yes it does give the feel of the bygone times. I also like the colour version and the nice detail that you have shown in this excellent piece of work. Jake.

Love love love the old machines. They make for so many great photo ops. I think your decision to create the sepia tone was a wise one as it looks simply gorgeous

fantasitc opportunity to take advantage of and you sure got 2 great photos .. the first one is awesome, love the angle of view and perspective and I guess you did too .. cause the second has the same position .. just a great way to portray those machines !
I like your old effect on the first, surprized a bit that you didn't give it a little white matting around the edge which I've seen you use and got me to use it sometimes ..doesn;t really matter, it's has an authentic feel to it and matting or add vignet. might seem too obvious .. well done.I am against the general concenus and I really like the second one... the color red just grabs you, burgandy, maroon and gold leaf lettering just look really classy .. well done on both of them Dave !
