Default Down By The River

this is a small tidal pool with rippling glacial mud left by an outgoing tide

Tide Pool

further inland is this view of Pyramid Peak

Pyramid Peak

then turnaround and the view opens up to the river with two mountain ranges in the background and icebergs left on the river bed

Beautiful Dreams

and finally the light that made this shoot possible

Stunning photography from your lovely part of the world UpNorth. The first one looks like a mirror in the mud and is an excellent reflection. The scenery here is breathtaking and you have done a marvelous job of capturing the beauty of it.

these are really great pictures! i like the last one - the peebles, the grass, the mountain, the sunlight and finally the bird made the picture so appealing and calming to the eyes.

Thank you Hayward. Nat'l Geographic was here a few years ago and what they published escaped the deep Alaska shown here.
