Hi there,
Ah the Acer, one of my favorite trees, and you have captured it's delicate leaves so well, I have two like this in my back garden, now you have given me an idea!! Thanks for sharing this lovely image.

Wow, that is an amazing capture, I have one of these as a miniture in my back garden and my rabbit keeps eating it. I love the bokeh and the soft feel of the image. Just beautiful.

cut leaf maple is indeed a common name for this tree....i've never seen a varigated one before......you're going to have to shoot that for me when it leafs out....

this is not a night shot.....it's shot early morning, after sunrise on a cloudy day....purposely underexposed because in the past the same conditions had the upper bits of the leaves reflecting a very bright, very light blue from the sky......

Great shot.
I just love the way it melts away in to the back ground.
Excellent DOF.

Peeper,We had a Japanese Maple in the garden about 25ft in height. It was a georgeous tree. We sold the house last fall, and it has been knocked down for a `monster` However they have protected the tree and want to keep it.
