The is a night shot that I did a bit of editing on.

I had been working on getting sharper flower shots, I am not entirely thrilled, but getting there

Two very nice shots Sheriliz. The night shot is very nice and the flower has lovely colour and detail. I too was the same without this site I would not have developed my skills and I am learning every day. This is a wonderful and friendly site. Nice work and keep showing your develpment.

Jake.

Thank you Jake. I never would have thought of going out at 5:00a.m. to shoot the town, before reading that suggestion here.

Sheriliz,

I think it's cooperation that makes the difference. We are more about helping you photograph better, to see you improve from week to week. And you're "getting there," for sure! You get a medal for getting out at 5 AM to shoot anything! Well done.

Very nice! As long as you practice and (to paraphrase what you said in another post) pay attention to "seeing" things the right way, the improvement will continue.

jiminyClickit, yes the support is amazing. It really takes a lot of courage for me to post, with so many truly amazingly talented photographers here....I always wake up early and going on a shoot is easier than trying not to wake my dh..

Chip, thank you. I'm keeping my eyes open.

I like the night shot - did you use a tripod for it? One of the items that most improved my night and low light photography was the purchase of a Gorillapod SLR and a wireless remote.

lyacadajar, Thank you. I am enjoying.

kstraw2, Yes use a tri-pod. I had just recently realized I would really like/need a remote...it will be a bit before I make any purchases, but that is top of my list.
