Default Local Carnival Tonight

There was a carnival in the next town over so I went and took a few pics. (my daughter would not acknowledge me .. she was so embarrassed that I brought a tripod with me)
These are the ones I think came out decent enough for a first try.

The Swings

The Round Up

This is the Freak Out ... it had bizarre lights sometimes they were strobes (just did a little PP to it 5/3 am)
Freak Out Strobe 2

and sometimes the colored lights were on:

WOW Teedles, I really like these. Especially the first 2. I can't choose a favorite. Nice light trails. They look as if they're a solid lit object. TNX

Sue - you have captured the thrill and excitement of actually being at the circus .. I feel like I was actually there .. the motion blur movement did it .. thanks goodness for long exposure .. nicely done

Wow! I love them all! This is a great perspective....you are after the light and not the event. Most would try to frame people expressions etc but this is great....just what I would like to try!

Thank You. That was the first one I did. Was pleased that it wasn't as hard as I thought it could be.

LOL You are so right .... I could have cared less last night about the people, they were an annoyance for my mission. I have wanted to do this for awhile, then I saw the pics posted here the other day and really wanted to. We were out and about yesterday when I saw a poster for this fair. So I dragged everyone out to it last night

Thank You Fred, I appreciate the nice words. The shorter exposures were not doing it for me with that round up. Then I did that one that I think was around 4 seconds and I liked it. Blew out the sign a bit and was to tired to try and fix it last night

I had been looking at some "carnival" picks on flickr earlier this week. Your pics have just given me more inspiration to go out an find one.

What a great selection of pictures, I really like the final two. Both have people in them, and you have the energy, the movement, the excitement of the ride, captured around them. The last picture is particularly sharp and well defined, excellent.
I suspect we could more of this type of picture over the next few weeks, especially if I can find a carnaval, well done Sue
