I would recommend this lens. I was buying it for the zoom lens, and found out i also love the macro feature just as much! It has auto and manual focus. I am unsure on the exact specs of it, you could probably google it. It is definitely worth it. It has the zoom and macro on it! Very crisp clear photos as well (My 100th post!)

Short answer: EF-S 55-250 IS or the EF 50mm f/1.8 II. Seriously, 90% of the time, this is right.
