Default and now for something completely different.....

last night we had one of the most glorious sunsets ever. Seems like everyone was down at the pier to witness the glorious ball of fire with all its golden and red hues. Time to meet up and chat with friends as we watched it slowly settling into night. Camera almost forgotten in the splendour and magnificence, even the birds were awe struck. From a lesson previously learned, sometimes it is the scene NOT the details we wish to capture. With that in mind I tried to photograph the light in all its glory!

These are SOOC, not even a curves or level adjustment only a layer for a copyright. The colors are as I witnessed them. Enjoy

heron-sunset

and finally, also watching the sun go down and waiting for night to shine in all its reflected glory... (hand held so excuse the slight blur)

moon

Genielamb, I sometimes find it difficult to comment on your work because the pictures do it all for me. These captures are just so stunning. You were concentrating on the light and that has made the subjects in the photographs all the more stunning. The reflection of the swan is just enough rippling away, Then, the gorgeous Crane stood on the rock and watching the golden sunset reflection. Then, I saw the moon. Genielamb, you have just blown me away with these super photographs.

Jake

Beautiful shots.
I love how soft the first photo looks, but still capturing the duck with detail.
