Default From the Smokies back to the nursery

After several posts showing you some of the beauty of the Tennessee/North Carolina Mountains, I have a few more flower shots to show you....hope you like them. Leading off is the ever popular hibiscus bloom. I personally liked the color contrast of the red and green.

This is what is called a lollipop gerbera. I intentionally shot just the lower quadrant only to see how it would look.

This is a picture taken of a rose straight down on it. I thought the tight waves and curls was rather fascinating.

And of course, we have to have the lowly weed family too. I was driving out in the country during my lunch break not really anticipating shooting anything but I kept seeing these dandelions along the side of the road and I finally said, enough already! I am pulling over, digging the camera out and seeing what I can do with these obnoxious things. Some dandelions are really fuzzy but some have this appearance and I ended up liking this quite a bit even though it's a weed.

Wow, I love that in the selection you have the magnificence of the rose followed by the humble dandelion. They are my faves of the group. Really lovely photos.
I am going to have to start looking at dandelions a bit closer - I have never seen one like this.

the loli and "wish" flowers are my favorite shots. I love that you intentionally (sp?) set the space that way. It really adds something to the photo. and that wish flower is a fav of my 5 year old...so I tend to love any pics of those. But this one looks really soft and snooth, not as fuzzy and ragged as the ones in my yard! great shots...love em!

Very gorgeous set of shots there I hope you post more !! I love the "lowly weed" shot. I can't tell you what it is, but I definitely understand the pull to this. Your colors are great in all of them

Somehow I missed the series of the Smokies. I must go search for it. Anyway, I love all of these but my favorites are the Lollipop and Dandelion.

(One of my favorite pictures that I have ever taken includes a ton of dandelions.)
