Default First true macro shots...

Got my first dedicated macro lens...I've been going crazy with it trying to get the hang of it. Here are some flower shots. They're not corrected for web display, so the colors are kinda...ennhhh. But one or two of you might still like them.

I know what you mean. The only advice I can give is: Put your tripod to work.

Decrease aperture (i.e. increase aperture number), decrease shutter speed, increase ISO (this will allow you to use better combination of aperture and reasonable shutter speed), use a tripod, and better lighting. This is a common problem with a macro lens.

Ok, that's it. I am getting in the car and going down to the shop to get me a macro lens (yes I realise my name would suggest that I have one already but I will by the end of trade today).
I like them, especially as they were your first attempt.
Looking forward to seeing what else you can do.
