Default Going urban in Christchurch, New Zealand

I've been sneaking into the centre of town after work recently and walking around for an hour or so taking shots as it gets dark. With winter coming on, it is something that can now be done straight after work. I really like the combination of natural and artifical light you can get around this time! All EXIF on Flickr.

Love the lights! I really like the second one best, but they are great. It is a nice time of day to go shooting. Hope you are having fun!

Thanks all! Yes, I like the second shot as well. Luckily with inner city development in Christchurch in recent years, there are a growing number of these inhabited alleyways available with pubs and eateries. It does mean that they can become awfully busy at times.

I've also come to love the combination of the 5D and 135mm f2 for this sort of shooting. Such a great combination for urban photography! Three of the photos (1,2, and 4) were taken with this combo.

No doubt there will be more to come like this

They are great shots and number two is my favourite too. I really like that time of day as well as early mornings.
