Here is one more ... this is the full flower of one bud I took yesterday
I believe that they are magnolias (sure smell amazing)

Great composition, dof and colours. Hard to fault work like that.

Wow, that's a beautiful shot, Sue! Is that the same flower as in my avatar? I was wondering what the heck that was...they smell soooooo good.

I love the framing with the negative space. This is stunning!

Gorgeous ... can I ask what filter if any was used to get the contrast in the sky ?

I was thinking "what is it that is grabbing my attention here in a different way?" and you said it...it's that suspension feeling against that background. Nice shot

Sue, I think it is the same kind of flower. I was trying to look at yours closer to see if the centers are the same lol I just wished they lived longer.
