Default Little Blue Heron

Here are a couple of shots of the same little blue heron taken from a boardwalk during a mid-day break from work. Thanks for looking.

What a great lunchbreak ! ...a really great creature .. looks like it saw some fish movement in the first photo . a step forward or a tilt of the head was a second or two away !

outstanding framing in the second profile shot , I also love the reflection ! .. as always your clean, crisp detail and interesting subject .. thanks much Chip !

Vin - Thank you. This one was very a patient and attentive fisherman, but I couldn't stay long enough to see him catch his lunch. Maybe next time? He did hang out by the boardwalk - aboout 10-15' away - for a good 5 minutes. It was a great way to spend lunch (and I left my phone in my car).

Very nice photos. I really like the first one. Blue Herons are really fascinating to watch when they're hunting. He looks like he's ready to pluck his lunch out of the water. Thanks for showing us these.

These are wonderful. I also especially love the crystal clear reflection in the water. Really fantastic shot!

Deb - I'd sure rather being out at that park than eating lunch at my desk . . . which is what I normally do.

Thanks very much, Michelle. Glad you like that reflection. Like the refuge where you and your Mom went, we're very low on water. So, since there's not much water either in or moving through this area right now, reflections are unfortunately too easy to come by. We need rain!

Chip - Great way to spend lunch! Thanks for sharing these, they are razor sharp and I love the reflection on the second one.
