Default Chucks vs. The Prom

I had a tough decision between a couple of photos for the jump assignment. Chose the other one, but wanted to share this one because I really like it.

Chucks vs. the Prom 2
My 18-year-old daughter, who obviously marches to the beat of a different drum. :-) It was totally her idea to jump on the trampoline in her prom dress, and I was happy to oblige given the assignment this week. It was also her idea to wear her Converse Chucks with her poofy pink princess dress.

PS - Title chosen to appeal to any other "Chuck" fans - if there are any here.

Love it! It shows she went with a great attitude. Last year my daughter and her friends all bought cheap white canvas loafers and spray painted them colors to match each of their dresses. They danced all nite and did not come home complaining of aching feet!

Thanks, gottasnap and heidilynn. I think she took her shoes off to dance, anyway. :-)

This is a really great capture HoosierGal. Loads of movement here while all still in focus. The hair and the dress. Colours are excellent too. She looks like she is having a lot of fun. Nice work HoosierGal.

Jake.

I LOVE it! Reminds me of when I wanted to wear my hot-pink Converse high tops with my cap and gown for high school graduation. My mom wouldn't let me, LOL!

This is a really wonderful photo! Love the dress, the shoes, and the hair!

To Hoosier Gal's Daughter: Pink dress for the Prom. Good choice. Pink prom dress and Chucks? Imaginative. Pink prom dress, Chucks and a trampoline? Now that's priceless! Remember the game "Which of these things go together?" from Seasame Street. When the answer is "none" and it still works, you are on to something that will serve you well.

Ummmm, well, I'm sure she will be again once she gets past that teenage rebellion. :-) Now that she's 18 and will be graduating next month, I'm thinking it can't
be too much longer. (right? right?) I do love that she's an independant thinker, though.

Ha! That's an interesting way to think of things. I like it.
