Default Devil's in the details

It's amazing what other people will see in your photos that you don't see yourself.

My mother went through my Flickr photos looking for the Pearls of Wisdom photo that got a mention in the Wisdom assignment and found a detail I had missed.
I must have looked at this photo a million times (ok not a million but a lot) yet she found this dead mosquito in the water. There were millions of mossies (not exaggerating this time) and I was swatting madly so I guess it's not that surprising that this fellow was a casualty of the day.

Thought I would share it here.

The original photo....
Pearls of Wisdom original

The casualty...
It's the small things

Sharp eyes my mother.

Cheers and thanks for looking.

that happens quite often.. the numberof times i spot a bug AFTER photographing a flower is quite phenominal.

great shot overall.

are you sure its in the water?
i dont think so.. i think its sitting on the rime of the clam.. but the body is in the shadow of the dunes ripple (see straight above the mozzy..
i'd expect to see the water bulging like around the pearls.. but its not. its perfectly flat.

my money is the mozzy is in the dark area so it cant be seen.

Once alerted, I spotted it right away and like candleman, I have had numerous flowers end up with a bug hovering around or there's a speck of dust or what have you. I guess it is time to get out photoshop and say goodbye to that bug forever!
