Default Chihuly. Again. Part III

Am I driving you crazy yet? Dale Chihuly, the internationally known glass sculptor, joined forces with the Desert Botanical Gardens in Scotsdale, Arizona and 33 of his amazing works on display through May. These photos represent his blue pieces. The hanging piece on the right side (center) on this collage is probably 12-15 high and very representative of pieces you will find in other settings. I've also included a small collage from his Yellow/Gold/Orange inspired pieces. Would you like to see his Red/Purple pieces or should I dock the boat?

You are only driving me crazy Lindy with continuous beauty of your captures, these are excellent yet again. You give us all the colours of the rainbow. That sculptors skill only matched by your excellent captures and beautiful presentations. Next colour please.

When pictures are captured and presented to this high standard, I can't think of anyone who would tire of seeing Dale and Lindy's work. Two quite different and complimentary artists at work at the same time

Lindy - For these "blue" shots, I enjoy the way you either got in close and/or shot from a unique angle. These shots present the stained glass in a non-traditional way that I love. The blue one on the bottom right with the yellow flowers is my favorite . . . but I enjoy all of them. Well done.

Before responding to each of you by name, I can't tell you how much I would enjoy meeting together at the gardens and seeing what each of you would find to photograph. I continue to awaken with images from my morning here. If you are interested, there is a contest sponsored by Arizona Highways Magazine in conjunction with the Gardens and all the entries are available for your viewing pleasure. You can double click the images to get a larger view. Here's the website:

These are photos of what you can see. How I wish you could also hear the Cactus Wren, the Doves, and the Flickers. There are also lizards sunning on rocks and ground squirrels. Can you see and hear them? I wish you could. Thanks Jake!

More? Really? Okay! You have it right--"utterly beautiful". Thanks Fred.

Chihuly has changed glass "blowing" forever. Have you ever seen his photo. Someday, look on Wikipedia. Before you do, think about some of the ships that have sailed in and about your harbors. Thanks for your lovely comments.

Can't wait to show you the reds and oranges. Don't you think going "crazy" for vibrant color is a wonderful way to be sane?

Lifted your mood? Now that is just wonderful. So many photos here do that for me,too. Don't you love when that happens.
