That is strange and a great effect, but I can't figure out what it is that I am looking at, or is it a secret and we have to guess. Either way, the colours, lighting and detail are excellent. Thank you for sharing this strange image.

I could have you all guess, but you probably wouldn't figure it out anyways. It's actually a rock. (Black Obsidian) Just rounded into a sphere. Sort of a form of volcano rock. I just liked it because it is very reflective, and I had some other cool shots with it before. Just kinda like how the light plays on the reflectiveness of the balls surface and how smoothly the water was flowing over it.It is resting on a shot glass, which is mostly washed-out due to the flash and color temperature tweak I made when editing. That is actually my sink (stainless steel background). it is just sitting right under my faucet. Really strange, I know.
