Welome to the forum Frank Spain II. This is a great place to learn and imporve your skills. You have posted your photograph in the 'Share Your Shots' section. If you'd your picture to be criticqued do post it in the 'Portrait Critique' section with the EXIF data and a specific question.
But here is my 2 cents and advice: You are off too a good start in terms of posing. But I think you also need to think about the lighting. One of the key ascpect of facial portraits is the eyes.This picture is very dark and I can barely see the eyes of the model. So try to light up her face a bit. And OH, try to get a Flickr account, upload your pictures there and link it to the forum. Its a very easy process and it free. Its very diffcult for us to see pictures that are attachments and dont get much detail. So posting on Flickr (or any other similar site) will do you a lot good. Send me a PM if you need any help setting up a Flickr account.
